SVF bets big on Nepal market with the upcoming Kakababu Adventure film - Yeti Obhijaan

~ Prosenjit Chatterjee-starrer Yeti Obhijaan is the first Bengali movie to be dubbed into Nepalese, titled Yeti in Nepal ~
~ First Tollywood movie to be released across Nepal in 50 screens on September 22, the same day as India release ~

Kolkata, September 8, 2017: SVF (Shree Venkatesh Films), Eastern India’s largest entertainment company today announced their plans to tap the Nepal audience with Yeti Obhijaan becoming the first Bengali movie to be dubbed into Nepalese. Yeti, as the movie will be called in Nepalese, is scheduled to be released during Durga Puja/Dashain, to coincide with the biggest and most auspicious festival in West Bengal and Nepal.

On this occasion Mahendra Soni, Director & Co-founder, SVF said, “We are constantly looking to innovate and expand into new markets keeping consumer preferences in mind. The story of the film is set in Nepal and  we have Nepali characters like Mingma, Norbu who take the story forward.  We are confident that Yeti Obhijaan, the first Bengali film to be dubbed in Nepalese and released across 50 screens, will be loved by the audience of Nepal.

The film, Yeti Obhijaan, is an adaptation of Pahar Churaye Aatonko from the Bengali adventure series - Kakababu, written by famous Bengali writer Sunil Gangopadhyay. Featuring the stalwart Prosenjit Chatterjee as Kakababu the film will hit silver screens of India and Nepal on September 22.  This Kakababu series film has been shot in India and Switzerland by the ace director Srijit Mukherji.

About Yeti Obhijaan
This is yet another adventure of Kakababu and Santu, where they unravel the mystery of the legendary beast, the Yeti. Gorokhshep plateau is the new destination where the uncle-nephew duo find themselves facing harsh circumstances in the process of unraveling the actual truth behind various incidents revolving around attacks by the giant beast. The quest introduces them to new characters such as Mingma and Norbu, local sherpas, who help them in the expedition. Their adventure leads them to unraveling the mystery of the Yeti.
