Indian Users Slowing Moving to Facebook!

If you check recent trends.... orkut users of India are gradually moving to facebook. facebook is going to be face of India's social networking. ( i am not considering twitter , and other Indian SNSs like zapak, bigadda, ibibo, indyarocks etc)Why ? I asked myself and my friends and find out following points in favor of facebook:

1. Facebook has differential approach to pc users, mobile users, sms users (specially for 3rd world countries), different mobile handset users (specific handset settings like iPhone)
2. community of orkut can be accessed via m.orkut.com while m.facebook.com is more advanced
3. as fb offers devilery of sms updates to most of Indian carriers it gains more popularity than orkut.
4. new orkut theme - that sucks completely/
6. people get bored with orkut.

Uninor Kolkata Prepaid Plan

So at last Uninor [ wikipedia ] launched its services in Kolkata and West Bengal on 1st June through a press conference.

On Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 Uninor rolled out its operations simultaneously in five circles — West Bengal, Kolkata, Maharashtra and Goa, Mumbai and Gujarat — and is gearing up to roll out services in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the next phase of expansion. Uninor has licence for operations over 22 circles of India, but still they did not receive spectrum for Delhi and major cities in North East. Security checking also causes delay to launching over India for Uninor.

Uninor is looking at around 8% market share in the country by 2018, achieve cash flow positive in five years and EBITDA breakeven in three years.
